How to Change Username for Gmail Account

If you need to change your Gmail username it's going to be a helpful tutorial for you. Sometimes we do mistakes by wrong spelling or wrong name on Gmail Id. But Google gives us the opportunity to change our email username.

In this tutorial, I'm going to show you both solutions, one for PC and Mobile Devise.

Let's start with the PC first. In this part, I'm going to share how you can change the username for Gmail account

Change Username for Gmail Account on PC

First of all, open your email Id using on the browser to change the username for Gmail. Now you will see the settings button on the right top of the computer screen. See the red mark from Screenshot to understand perfectly.

Now you need to click on the settings icon. After clicking on the settings icon you will see some more options. Choice the settings option and let see that happen.

After clicking the settings option you will see a page like that. Now click the Accounts and Import option. If you can't find out it, see the screenshot with red marked.

You've done everything perfectly till now. After click on Accounts and Import, you will see the edit info option on the right middle of the computer screen. See the screenshot please if you feel any confusion.

After clicking the edit info option you will get edit information option. Now write your new username on the red marked box on the screenshot. Make sure that you clicked the black radio button before writing a new username. See the screenshot which is red marked.

After complete your new username just simply hit on the Save Changes button. Now You're done. Your Gmail user name is changed!

How to Change Gmail Username from Mobile 

First of all, open your Gmail app from your mobile device. It doesn't matter is it iPhone or android.

After opening your Gmail app you will see your profile icon on the top right. see the screenshot to better understand. Now click profile icon. Now you will see Manage your google account. Just hit on that.

 Now you will get some more options. But don't feel confused. Click on the Personal info option. See the screenshot if you feel problem to find out the option.  

Click to the name option and see what happens next. Now you will get the field where you can write your new Gmail Username. The screenshot is attached to making the process easier to you.

Look at the top right. The edit icon is red marked. Now click on that and change your Gmail username with the new one. Now hit on the done button and finally, you made it successfully.
